Clintonville Outfitters

We're Back!  It feels great to finally have a website again.  Similar to showering for the first time after a week in the woods. Let me give you a quick overview on some of the features of our new site.  First and foremost, this is going to be a media driven site that will showcase products, classes, events, pictures, videos, and more.  Most of the pictures we will use in the slideshow above are clickable.  We have a new events calendar (with over 100 events already) where you can sign up for classes that require advanced registration or learn about the opportunities we have to paddle, hike, learn, and more!  A new customer rewards program is in place with some great incentives. While you are poking around you will find many ways to interact with us and the community we are going to build.  By linking Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, YouTube, and our website, we have the beginnings of a social network all built around a common bond.  You don't have to be Andrew Skurka (pictured right and currently traveling 4,700 miles around Alaska by foot, skis, and packraft) to love the outdoors.  Did I mention that he is hoping to complete the trek in 7 months?

Our website will reflect our goal; to provide anyone who loves being outside with quality gear to keep you safe and comfortable while you "Find your Frontier."  I chose that to be the our new slogan because it is individual.  We all have places in life that we love and we are here to help you enjoy those places and special moments just a little bit more.  My greatest joy is when someone comes into the shop after returning from a trip to Hocking Hills or Peru with stories of adventure.  Many of those stories are sprinkled with a mention of how some of the gear we sold them or perhaps a skill we taught them came in handy. Right now that's my frontier.  This store.  The passion I feel today about Clintonville Outfitters is consuming and to be able to share that with you, FFF's, is beyond exciting!

You might find a few errors as you navigate around, but we will be scouring the links, content, and everything else for improvements and adjustments.  I did want to have everything complete before launch, but as I kept adding, I realized that I am never going to be done with this project and I can continue to add/update as we go along. For instance, I have loaded all the hikes for the year in the events section, but have not linked maps/trails/miles/etc.  I didn't want to delay getting this up for another week while I post info on a hike two months away.  Soon, we will be letting you know how you can contribute with photos/videos and your own product reviews!  

So here we go!  Today marks the beginning of a new era for Clintonville Outfitters. None of which would be possible without the tireless support and contributions from my wife, my family, my friends, and our Wilderness Education Specialist, Nick. THANK YOU!
